Neil Cavuto: News Ho! Thousands of Stimulus Checks to Dead People?

In this episode, I pretty much debunk nearly everything Neil Cavuto says when he tries to gin up outrage over convicts receiving stimulus checks. It's like shooting  liar fish in a barrel. Like most GOP deception, the arguments made shouldn't fool most pre-teens with Google.

    Excellent podcast!

How much fore-thought must have gone into Neil's segment about these checks?

What a craftily thought out spin on a non-issue.

But what is amazing to me is how Fox will constantly make craftily constructed spin stories such as this one, then 7 seconds after the Democrat speaks, they interrupt him and re-direct with projection.

All of a sudden the argument changes to.... WHAT IF this was a Trillion dollar program and it had 10% waste?!?!

Well, yeah, that would be terrible. But you just rounded 7% up to 10% which is almost a 50% increase in waste, and you're now applying this to 1000B instead of 13B.

This is projection. Don't argue with Republicans about things that have never happened.

Last night in the drive thru Pony Keg, I was arguing with a regular customer through the window of her Jeep SUV. A right winger. The tension in this woman's voice was doubling with every word.

She would spout out two or three of her points, and I would respond, "Wow! You're repeating to me, last nights episode of Glenn Beck!"

Then she got a little more upset and declared that she does not watch Glen Beck. I responded that I'm a liberal, and I do watch Glenn Beck. At least enough to know when I hear Glenn Beck talking points.

I then explained to her what Socialism REALLY is, and that Obama isn't one, nor is health care reform.

By this point, she was PISSED! So what did she do?!? She began to project...

She said, "How old are you?" I said, "31." She replies, "Wait until you're 41. You won't hold those opinions by the time you get to that age. I held the exact same political opinions as you back when I was 21."

I stopped her right there... "First of all, I said I was 31, not 21. You're not only removing a 3rd of my life, experiences, and wisdom. But of the 3 decades I've lived, you just removed the decade in which I have gathered the most knowledge, and wisdom, and maturity, etc."

Then I told her that I'm not exactly the average uninformed Democratic voter. I do a little more than watch Hardball 2 nights a week. I'm an Activist in my own right.

Then I wrote down my podcast webpage URL and gave it to her.

I told her what it is (A left wing political podcast) and she hit the gas so hard I thought she was going to crash into the phone pole sitting beside the road.

A cult of idiots, you say.

Well, you're right... But that is a very "Bill Maher" way to put it.

Don't think you have offended me. I'm not offended. I simply believe that your idea would better spread from person to person if it was less likely to offend others.

I heard the exact same concept the other day from a call in to the Jack Rice show on AA. However, this caller worded this argument perfectly.

I got excited when I heard what she said. I'm actually going to do a segment in my next podcast about this call in. So if you decide to use it, don't steal my thunder! LOL!

Here. I threw together a soundbite for you.

      Thanks! I had fun.

Not much actually. They have low expectations from their audience. Anti-Obama background noise is enough, but I guess being able to articulate more than Obama is "soooooooo liberal"separates the pros from the listeners .

There you go! That's all I hear from them. Talking points! Because the only reality where they are correct was created for them. In order to argue, they can't use facts. They have to dip into that finite pool of lies. I work with a guy who's raring to debate me on the podcast. Says he was on the debate team, yet he doesn't know a thing about healthcare. But when he spoke of it, you could tell he wasn't used to lying to me. His words obviously didn't ring true to him as he regurgitated them.

I then explained to her what Socialism REALLY is, and that Obama isn't one, nor is health care reform.

Facts?!? You asshole! That's rude and boring!

By this point, she was PISSED! So what did she do?!? She began to project...

I call this the impossible close. Like when I'm debating theology with someone and they are losing and they suddenly say, "The Holy Spirit is moving me to tell you that you're wrong."

To which I laugh and say, "So the Creator Of The Universe stopped playing golf long enough to listen into you talk and He didn't stop war or pain or famine. He didn't tell suicide bombers that they weren't serving Him. He didn't tell men to stop subjugating women in His Name. He just wanted to poke a hole in reality long enough to funnel a holy message that YOU were so correct all along that YOU moved HIM to speak?"

I stopped her right there... "First of all, I said I was 31, not 21. You're not only removing a 3rd of my life, experiences, and wisdom. But of the 3 decades I've lived, you just removed the decade in which I have gathered the most knowledge, and wisdom, and maturity, etc."

Knowledge? Wisdom? Weak Liberal Nonsense! Republicans are into hunches and just being mean. If your thoughts make your face contort into this image of the man who slapped that 2 year old, you have the soul of the GOP. That's not his brow. That's his actual gun rack! Look at the guy! Is he a Democrat or a registered Republican?

THIS MAN THOUGHT HE WAS IN A TOWNHALL MEETING

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (AP) -- Police say a 61-year-old man annoyed with a crying 2-year-old girl at a suburban Atlanta Walmart slapped the child several times after warning the toddler's mother to keep her quiet.

A police report says after the stranger hit the girl at least four times, he said: "See, I told you I would shut her up."

No. He's call them a F*&cking cult of idiots.

Don't think you have offended me. I'm not offended. I simply believe that your idea would better spread from person to person if it was less likely to offend others.

I stopped caring about offending Republicans long ago. I see them as a blight on history and a threat to our future.

Heh! I would never suggest that Republicans deserve freedom from feeling shamed or offended.

Liberals are so busy defending Republican freedom of speech, that they forget to use those same rights to tell Republicans they're assholes.

Think I could have taken an AR-15 to a presidential event 4 years ago?

As a matter of fact, recently I have HAD IT with the racist comments that I get fairly often at the drive thru. If the racism isn't directed at Obama, it's directed at my boss. (Born and raised in India)

I'm done letting out a soft growl of displeasure and letting it fly. My usual response now a days is something like this, "You're fixin' to get told to F*&ck yourself. Hit the gas."

I do think that many Republicans need to be shamed for their beliefs. However, for the purposes of opening their mind to factual information, I feel you should ease them in.

I think it was your own words... If you offend them, they will just dig in.

PS - One day, I will pay the price for standing up to racists in that drive thru. I'm expecting a minimum of a punch to the nose at some point.

Whenever Republicns talk about freedom of speech, they're being disengenuous. The only ammendments they care about are the 2nd and the 10th -- and the 5th when they are being prosecuted.

Sure! Think you would have lived to see the next day?

Check out District 9. It really made me embarassed to be a human. That rarely happens in a film.

Racism doesn't make me upset. The first thing I think is, I want to debate this guy!.

Republicans don't know shame. They will praise Joe Wilson tomorrow.

I think it was your own words... If you offend them, they will just dig in.

I think it went something like "if you begin to convince them..." I'm not sure.

I sent this to you in a separate message but thought I might as well post it here:

I listened to this podcast. You do a good job. I have a few issues.

They mostly go to what you would probably call "moral equivalency," but I think there is a moral equivalency.

I have a problem I have to preface this with, which is, I try hard (I don't always succeed, but I try hard) to avoid the word "lie" or "liar" because I try hard to give the benefit of the doubt and think someone may honestly believe the shit they spew out because they're deranged, irrational, foolish, etc. I hate the word "lie" because it almost always closes off any chance of discussion.

That said, if you think Olbermann never lies, just look at my friend Bob Cox's Olbermann Watch, where he documents what he genuinely sees as lies by the likes of Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann. You can read a lot here:

    http://wwwolbermannwatchcom/

I think you're fooling yourself if, by your own standard of calling people liars, you don't think news hos like Olbermann lie. If your'e going to call people liars, Keith Olbermann is one of the chief liars of the left.

And I will say, Michael Moore is, really, truly, an honest to God, flat out, professional liar who knows he lies, lies on purpose, does it anyway, doesn't care because he is truly one of the most vicious horrible liars alive today. Good documentation for this--from an honest conservative source--would be to start here:

    http://wwwdavekopelcom/terror/fiftysix-deceits-in-fahrenheit-911.htm

That movie was one of the most vicious pieces of dishonest hate-propaganda I've ever seen in my life, and lefties lapped up this bullshit like it was ambrosia. I don't think 60 seconds went by in that movie without an outright falsification or deception--and even Dave Kopel goes out of his way to just say "deception" rather than lie (much of the time), but a gross collection of lies is what that, and most of Michael Moore's movies, was.

Mostly my conclusion is I can't stand most television newscommentary anymore, especially when it's based on this 24 hour news cycle and having to fill 45 minutes every day withcommentary like Cavuto's--which I would agree with you in this context was bullshit from start to finish.

And that's all I think I have to say.

I visited the laughable http://www.olbermannwatch.com/ and after swimming through the outrage about Keith being suspended, I went down to the first non-suspension story I could find.. Kilmeade misspoke in a spiteful, hateful way saying that not all Muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims..

Olbermann ACCURATELY quoted Killmeade both in text and with his own voice, as shown here:

What  the liar at http://www.olbermannwatch.com/ did was clearly flip the words around and cut the video whenever he had Keith say that all Muslims were terrorists. Clear deception. Clear slander and the lies get spread.

This sums up my argument that the right just lies and you should question yourself that you fell for this obvious bullshit.
