Miranda Protects Cops, not Citizens!

Today, I take on Miranda. Right wingers seem to think that by reading these words to a prisoner, rights are "given" to them. No! Nothing changes once you've read those words. Miranda protects COPS, protects the data gathered during interrogation, not prisoners! Why do Republican idiots continue to push for cops to make sloppy arrests and torture people? I have to admit that the first words you hear are actually the last ones recorded, but I thought I had to address it at the last moment.

I also reply to Nick and Joe about how to handle the Democrats in the fall and rant about a lot of other things.

Well I think you may have read my generalized response and took it at face value instead of being a generalization. I think Democrats and even OBAMA lack a vision or a road map that's supposed to lead us to that vision. I'm sure everyone does talk about building a strong America but no one is willing to acknowledge that for the past 40 years we have not been doing that.

Actually, I have very little to say about Democrats that's negative. Their agenda doesn't include lies and tries to make things better. I think the Democrats could fix EVERYTHING if not for the screaming republicans in the corner. If there were no scream Democrats in the corner, the GOP would ruin the friggin world and part of outer space.

So you don't have any problems with how they are just slightly less owned by corporate interests? Its really hard for me to understand how a majority party can't govern since the minority is in opposition.

They could do better. It bothers me. But the Democrats merely disappoint me. They don't outrage me. You can tell they are affected by corporate interests, not led by the nose. There is a huge difference,

And it would be a lot different if the GOP weren't lying and half the country weren't dupes.

The dems want to win, not serve corporate masters. They are self serving more than serving. Guilty, yes. Evil no.

Well I'll go as far to say democrats do outrage me but our political system does outrage me. I feel like everyday conservatism is slowly making gains and undermining everything that would make America the nation is should be in principle.

I think I hate the socalled liberal media more than anything. They are so neutered now that they are all pro right except MSNBC.

If I were going to actively protest anyone, it would be ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN

So it finally came. The commission to reduce the deficit seems to be making a move to adjust social security. When the goal is deficit reduction the only outcomes that would produce such a goal would be lowered benefits or higher taxes. The above outcomes would also mean that the Federal Government may not plan on repaying the money it borrowed from the Social Security Trust. Not repaying that trust money would be the largest transfer of wealth upward this country has ever seen. Still have faith in the democrats now?

    Great conversation guys.

I think I am closer to Nick on this one. On the other hand, everything that Jeff is saying, rings true for me also.

I think the problem is that, we are outraged at so many things... Outraged at this, outraged at that...

When a Dem says he or she is outraged at the Republicans, and then says he or she is outraged at the Democrats; it all sounds the same. But all of us know that it is not.

Here is my two cents... I am outraged at Republicans for their behavior. Direct, deliberate actions, which have the intent of handing our government over to corporate control.

I am outraged at the Democrats, because the "Big Dogs", "The Money Changers", are making huge, bold, power plays within the world political landscape. As they do so, the Democrats ignore these events and simply proceed with their agenda. Afflicted by corporate power, as they are...

I would much prefer to see Democrats put their dukes up and square off with these big money interests. (Get money out of politics. BAN... Outright... The trading of these insane, and brand new things called "Derivatives", Etc.)

    Public Funding For Elections, Now!
